Carbon credits are credits provided based on the additional amount of increased carbon stored in the trees on your forest land due to a specific management activity or action. Carbon programs are markets where these credits can be sold to businesses or corporations that produce carbon dioxide during their operations and want to offset the amount of carbon dioxide they are releasing into the atmosphere as a result.
