The Official Paul Bunyan Show features many exciting lumberjack and forestry competitions, educational experiences, demonstrations and just plain fun! Use the schedule below in conjunction with the show maps and show guide to plan your visit!

Friday, October 4
8:00 am - Flapjacks for Lumberjacks
Join Ohio Tree Farmers in the education ha
ll for a scrumptious fund-raising breakfast of Flapjacks with Ohio made syrup and sausage. Location: VFW Building

8:00 am - Opening Ceremonies

8:30 am - Ohio Master Logger Re-Certification
(additional fee applies, pre-registration required, Master Loggers only) This class satisfies Master Logger Recertification requirements for Chainsaw, Best Management Practices and General Subject. Meet at the Education Hall.

10:00 am - Great Lakes Timber Show
This lumberjack show features chainsaw carving, axe throwing, wood chopping, one and two-man crosscut sawing, modified chainsawing, log rolling and loads of clean family humor. Location: Bunyan Blvd. South end of Fairgrounds. 

11:00 am - Chipper/Grinder Demonstrations
Watch as Columbus Equipment
 Company, CBI, Bandit, Astec, Aggcorp, Maverick and Rotochopper demonstrate their chippers and grinders side by side. Location: Chipper/Grinder Demo area

11:00 am - Antique Chainsaw Demonstration
House-O-Saws will showcase and demonstrate their antique chainsaw collection. Location: Booth 500

11:30 am - Chainsaw Safety and Cutting Techniques
Join the folks from Husqvarna and North American Training Solutions (NATS) for an informative demonstration about how to operate your saw safely and some tips on cutting techniques. Sponsored by Husqvarna. Presented by NATS. Location: Husqvarna Chainsaw Arena

12:00 pm - Great Lakes Timber Show
This lumberjack show features chainsaw carving, axe throwing, wood chopping, one and two-man crosscut sawing, modified chainsawing, log rolling and loads of clean family humor. Location: Bunyan Blvd. South end of Fairgrounds. 


1:00 pm - Technical Tree Cutting and Felling
Husqvarna and NATS will demonstrate how to fell a tree safely and land it accurately, utilizing precision felling methods and rigging. Sponsored by Husqvarna. Presented by NATS. Location: Husqvarna Chain Saw Arena

1:00 pm - Ohio State Lumberjack Competition

Watch as lumberjacks from the State of Ohio compete in horizontal chopping, open chainsaw, axe throwing and cross-cut sawing (two-person and Jack & Jill). Open to Ohio residents only. Location: Skills Stadium. 

1:00 pm - Antique Chainsaw Demonstration
House-O-Saws will showcase and demonstrate their antique chainsaw collection. Location: Booth 500

2:00 pm - Great Lakes Timber Show

Husqvarna and NATS demonstrate technical tree climbing techniques, utilizing climbing spurs and aerial chainsaw use. Sponsored by Husqvarna. Presented by NATS. Location: Husqvarna Chain Saw Arena

3:00 pm - Antique Chainsaw Demonstration
House-O-Saws will showcase and demonstrate their antique chainsaw collection. Location: Booth 500

3:30 pm - Hazard and Danger Tree Cutting and Felling
Husqvarna and NATS will demonstrate how to safely cut storm damaged trees that have become compromised due to extreme weather. Sponsored by Husqvarna. Presented by NATS. Location: Husqvarna Chain Saw Arena

4:00 pm - Great Lakes Timber Show

Lumberjacks from the United States and beyond will show their skills in this action-packed competition. Athletes will compete in the underhand chop, open chainsaw, axe throwing, standing block, springboard, Jack and Jill crosscut, two-person crosscut, and—always a fan favorite—the hot saws. Location: Skills Stadium

Need wood? Then you will want to get in on the Wood Auction Action. All timber processed throughout the show will be sold to the highest bidder. Firewood, sawn lumber and more! Meet at the Paul Bunyan Show Office at 1:45 to participate.
